Our district service, your contacts

In all nine municipalities in the district of Unna for which we are responsible for policing, our district service is your first point of contact directly on site. Our colleagues, who are known as "village sheriffs", have their own districts in which they take care of the following tasks:

- Showing presence

- Maintaining communication between the public and the police

- Contact person for schools, kindergartens, retirement homes, clubs, retailers, etc.

- Traffic monitoring (e.g. school road safety and traffic education)

- Supporting the guard and changeover service during ongoing operations

- Participation in special assignments (e.g. town festivals and meetings)

- Execution of arrest warrants
